Dr. Fariza Saidin is currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at Girijananda chowdhury University. She completed her Ph.D. in Psychology from Gauhati University in 2020 and holds an M.A. in Psychology from the same institution. With over a decade of teaching and research experience, she has previously worked at the University of Science and Technology, Meghalaya, Assam Down Town University, and Royal Global university, has also gained professional exposure through counselling, internships, and psycho-oncology training.
Her research interest areas are mental health, social psychology, psycho-oncology, and educational psychology. She has presented papers at national and international conferences, published extensively in reputed journals, and authored several books including Psycho-Oncology: Psychological Assessment for Cancer Patients and The Psychology of Life: A Guide to a Life of Meaning & Purpose. She is also the recipient of the Best Paper Award at the 13th InSPA International Conference (2023) and holds patents in psychological assessment devices.
A lifetime member of the Psychologist Association of North East India and the Indian School Psychology Association, Dr. Saidin continues to contribute actively to academia, research, and counselling practice.
