Mr. Sasanka Bujar Baruah is the newest hire in the Department of Business Administration at Girijananda Chowdhury University- Guwahati campus in the month of August 2025. He has recently been appointed to teach Business Strategy, Ethics, Policy, Communication and Customer Relations to the students of BBA and MBA. He has pursued his masters in Commerce from Jamia Millia Islamia and MBA in HR and Finance from School of Management Studies, University of Hyderabad. Further he has M.Phil in Commerce from Rajiv Gandhi University at Itanagar, and currently pursuing his PhD from Centre for Management Studies at Dibrugarh University.
He holds more than six years of experience working for multi national companies like Thompson Reuters at Hyderabad, Amazon Development Centre at Bangalore and for the Alshaya Co. at Kuwait and Bangalore. Prior to joining Girijananda Chowdhury University, he was associated with teaching at numerous public institutions for almost seven years. Some of the institutions of his earlier ventures in academics were Udalguri Polytechnic, Department of Commerce at Gauhati University, and at Chandrapur college, Guwahati. Apart from this, he has also been involved in taking projects with Grameen Bank, Dhaka Bangladesh during 2009 and conducting skill training on Financial literacy for ICT Academy (a Govt. of India initiative with govt. of Tamil Nadu). His interests lies in horology, cinema and comics.
