A three-day workshop on “Electronics System Design” was held in the Azara campus of Girijananda Chowdhury University (GCU) from 29 March to 31 March 2023. The workshop was organized by the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) of the university in collaboration with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) of GCU. The workshop was attended by various students of Class VIII to Class XII, studying in Shrimanta Shankar Academy, Dispur. The faculty members of the Dept. of ECE of GCU rendered their expertise as the resource persons of the workshop.
The participating students were taught regarding different tools and softwares used for designing circuits like doing basic circuit connections in breadboard. They were also provided hands-on learning about basic programming of Arduino microcontroller, multi-sim software, PCB design and fabrication, among others.
Professor Alak Kumar Buragohain, Honourable Chancellor of GCU, also graced the workshop and motivated the students to develop a scientific spirit for coping with the challenges posed by the rapidly evolving world. The students took an active and enthusiastic participation in the workshop, and in the course, they also demonstrated their potential to conduct higher research in this field.
