Dr. Shalini Ojha joined the Department of Commerce as an Assistant Professor in August 2025. Her primary area of specialization is Accountancy, with complementary academic interests in finance and taxation.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy from Darrang College and a Master’s degree in Accounting and Finance from Gauhati Commerce College. She secured the third rank in the Master of Commerce examination conducted by Gauhati University in the year 2018.
Before joining Girijananda Chowdhury University, she served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Finance at Dispur College. She has also worked as a Research Fellow in the Department of Commerce, Gauhati University. Shalini has qualified the National Eligibility Test with Junior Research Fellowship (NET-JRF). She has been awarded her doctoral degree under Gauhati University in the year 2025.
She has published several research papers in peer-reviewed journals and aspires to author a book on Taxation in the near future.
Beyond academia, Shalini enjoys music and finds relaxation in binging content across genres. She has a particular fondness for light-hearted comedies, science fiction, and satirical dramas.
