Biography

Ranjit Sinha joined in GIMT, in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering as a Senior Lab Instructor on 03 Feb 2009. At present, he is demonstrating practical experiments in Basic Electronics Lab, Network Theory Lab, Digital Circuits Lab, Analog Electronics Circuits Lab, Analog Communication Lab, Digital Communication Lab, Microwave Engineering Lab and Optical Communication Lab in the Department of Electronics and Communication. He has done his (graduation) AMIE in Electronics and Communication Engineering from The Institution of Engineers (India) Calcutta. He has undergone courses on Communication Equipment (TROPO/LOS) Operation and Maintenance (20 weeks) from ADGES Training Institute, Air Force Bangalore, UNIX & C (17 weeks) from Regional Computer Centre, Calcutta and IT Security and networking (04 weeks) from NIIT. Prior to this, he has served in Indian Air Force as a Junior Warrant Officer in the field of Electronics and Communication Engineering (Nov 1985 – Nov 2008). He has experience in Operation, Maintenance and Servicing of 2 GHz Exciter/Receiver (TROPO) and 8 GHz Exciter/Receiver (LOS) Communication system for 12 years. He has also experience in Calibration of various test Equipment such as Power Meter, RF Signal Generator, Spectrum Analyser, Frequency Counter, Oscilloscope, DMM, Synthesized Signal Generator, Selective Level Meter etc. for five years. During his service in Indian Air Force he received (CAS) Chief of Air Staff commendation.
