Subungshri Basumatary has joined in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering as an Assistant Professor Professor, Girijananda Chowdhury University (GCU), Guwahati, Assam, on August 2024. She received her Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree in Computer Science & Engineering from Central Institute of Technology, Kokrajhar in 2015.
She did her Master of Technology (M.Tech) in Information Technology from Tezpur University in 2017. Currently, she is pursuing Ph.D in the field of Natural Language Processing (NLP) from Central Institute of Technology, Kokrajhar. She also awarded as Fellowship for her Ph.D. degree from Ministry of Tribal Affairs (MoTA), Govt of India, from August 2019 to July 2024, she has served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of IT, Mahatma Gandhi University, Meghalaya.
She has also worked as a Teaching Assistant (Lab) in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Central Institute of Technology, Kokrajhar where she taught programming languages like C, Fudamentals of Computer, Operating System, Advanced OS etc. She has published 2 journal articles, 2 conference papers and 1 book chapters till 2024, and is also the reviewer of Journal of Engineering, Technology & Applied Science Research. She has participated in multiple national and international workshops, poster presentation, seminars and conferences (presented papers).
