Mr. Priyam Kashyap Borah is currently serving as a Lecturer (Dept. of Pharmaceutics) at Girijananda Chowdhury University (GCU), Assam. Prior to the present appointment, Mr. Borah worked at Marico Limited Plant-2 in Guwahati as a PQA (Product Quality Assurance) trainee and as an analyst, conducting training sessions to learn about product specifications and standards. He also supported the daily operations of quality assurance and quality control of raw materials, finished products, packaging materials, etc.
Mr. Borah has a wide range of experience in industrial duties, including handling SOPs, BMRs, and Quality tests of finished products and raw materials. Mr. Borah has completed his Master of Pharmacy (Pharmaceutics) from the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Girijananda Chowdhury University, Guwahati. He completed his Bachelor of Pharmacy from Pratiksha Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Guwahati, with excellent academic performance.
Mr. Borah’s primary research interests include Nanotechnology, Nano formulations, and targeted drug delivery systems, with a focus on the design and characterization of nanocarrier-based systems, such as polymeric nanoparticles, lipid nanoparticles, and nanoemulsions, for targeted, site-specific drug delivery with improved safety and therapeutic outcomes. His contributions to the academic community include a research presentation titled “MCC as a promising pharmaceutical excipient: A systematic map review” at the ADTUPHARMACON 2.0 international conference in ADTU 2023. as well as poster presentations on the “A review: Insulin pump- an emerging technology in Diabetes treatment” in a poster making competition in a “Two-day National seminar on Recent trends in diabetes research: Emerging drug delivery technologies and novel strategies” in 2019 IN GIPS.
Mr. Borah has successfully completed 4 funded FDPs and various workshops/training programs organized by the Sophisticated Analytical Instrument Facility (SAIF), Girijananda Chowdhury University. Mr. Borah has actively participated as a resource person and presenter at various conferences, seminars, and workshops at institutes such as NIPER Guwahati, Assam Down Town University, Girijananda Chowdhury University, and Pratiksha Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences. He is currently engaged in advancing pharmaceutical education and research.
