Mr. Monoj Rajkhowa joined as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medical Laboratory Technology, School of Allied Health Sciences,at Girijananda Chowdhury University on August 2024. He is currently teaching Microbiology to MLT students and guiding the students in the BSc. MLT programme. He has completed his Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Technology (BSc. MLT) in 2018 from Assam Down Town University (ADTU) Guwahati.
He completed his MSc. MLT(Medical Microbiology) in 2022 from The Assam Kaziranga University, Jorhat. He was awarded “Gold Medal” in recognition of his Outstanding academic performance amongst the MSc.MLT of 2020-2022. During his post graduation he did thesis titled “Effect of Excessive use of Hand Sanitizers on Healthcare Workers”. He has attended and participated in various conference and workshop. He has presented a poster on titled “Aftermath of Pandemic on Laboratory Professonal in North East India” under the guidance of Dr. Vidhya Srinivasan in the 4 th National Conference of ICMLS 2023 held on 30th September and 1st October,2023 at JIPMER (Pondicherry).
He has also attended workshop on “Basic Histopathological Techniques” in Pews Group of Institution.He is a member of Indian Confederation of Medical Laboratory Science. Presently he is pursuing his PhD at Girijananda Chowdhury University, Guwahati. He has 4 years of experience in both teaching and diagnosis. He has organized various health camp and awareness programme in the college and university. Aside from academic and research, he enjoys travelling and reading.
