Biography

Farak Ali joined the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry of School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Tezpur Campus, Girijananda Chowdhury University, Assam as an Assistant Professor on 1st October 2021. At present, he is teaching the curriculum courses of B. Pharm such as Pharmaceutical Organic Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry and Biochemistry and Clinical pathology of D. Pharm. After doing M. Pharm, he has freshly joined in the mentioned institute of GCU and currently he’s having teaching experience of 1 year 11 months. His area of work is Computer aided drug design, novel drug synthesis and characterization, natural product chemistry and novel drug design and evaluation for Alzheimer disease.

He has done Master of Pharmacy in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Dibrugarh University, Assam with major project in in-silico study and novel drug design, synthesis and biological evaluation for Alzheimer disease. He is undergraduate in Bachelor of Pharmacy from Pharmaceutical Chemistry from Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Dibrugarh University, Assam and completed his required hour of industrial training from Ajanta Pharma, Mirza Guwahati, Assam.Till now, he has published 11 journals in Scopus indexed journal (review) and 2 book chapter under reputed publisher like Springer Nature and Taylor and Francis. Moreover, he has presented several poster and seminar in national level.

Apart from academics, he is good in sports. He has played Volleyball in regional level in the year 2013 held in JNV Jorhat, Assam. He has conducted (Quiz master) two interclass quiz competition in School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Tezpur Campus, Girijananda Chowdhury University, Assam till now.
