Mr. Bitopan Deka is a Lecturer in Pharmaceutical Sciences with a Master’s degree in Pharmacology and over six months of teaching experience. He enjoys creating an engaging classroom environment where students can understand and appreciate the practical applications of pharmacology through interactive and evidence-based teaching.
Alongside his teaching responsibilities, Mr. Deka has a strong interest in research and actively pursues opportunities to expand his knowledge in pharmaceutical sciences. He has hands-on experience in pharmacovigilance, including adverse drug reaction (ADR) reporting, as well as dispensing pharmacy, which has provided him with valuable exposure to both academic and clinical aspects of the profession.
He has participated in and presented his research at several national and international conferences, seminars and workshops. His academic development has been enriched through programmes conducted by renowned institutions such as NIPER-G, PGIMER Chandigarh, ICAR-NRCP and APTI among others. He has also attended several Faculty Development Programmes, which have helped him refine his teaching skills, broaden his research perspective and stay updated with emerging developments in pharmaceutical education.
Mr. Deka believes that effective teaching extends beyond the classroom. He is committed to encouraging curiosity, critical thinking and a research-oriented mindset among students while continuing to grow as an educator and researcher. Through his dedication to teaching, research and lifelong learning, he aims to make a meaningful contribution to pharmaceutical education and healthcare.
