Mr. Bhaskarjyoti Kalita is currently serving as a Lecturer at School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Girijananda Chowdhury University, Guwahati, Assam. Prior to the present appointment, Mr. Kalita has accumulated a versatile experience in the field of Quality Control, Metriovigilance (Medical Devices Pharmacovigilance) for more than 2 years and Sales and Marketing for 1 year. He is also academically trained in Pharmaceutical Sciences with specialization in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and is actively involved in teaching, research and academic activities.
Mr. Kalita has completed his Master of Pharmacy from the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Girijananda Chowdhury University. He obtained his Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from Girijananda Chowdhury Institute of Pharmaceutical Science under Assam Science and Technology University with a strong academic record.
Mr. Kalita has successfully Qualified Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) 2022 and National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) 2022 with notable ranks. He has also participated in several academic training programmes, national seminars, and prestigious conferences. His contributions to the academic community include research presentations on advanced analytical methods for microplastic detection at the 73rd Indian Pharmaceutical Congress in Hyderabad, as well as poster presentations on the anti-diabetic potential of local North-Eastern flora and novel drug delivery systems. Furthermore, he has
been recognized for community leadership, securing the 1st position in the Swachh Bharat Summer Internship sponsored by MHRD.
Mr. Kalita has also gained significant industrial exposure, bringing diverse professional expertise to his academic role. He worked as a Medical Device Associate in Metriovigilance at Wipro Limited, Kolkata, where he managed safety compliance and data analysis. He also gained hands-on operational experience in quality control dynamics as an apprentice at Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Limited, Guwahati, and further expanded his corporate acumen as a Nutrition Sales Executive at Kwest Foods Pvt. Ltd. He is currently engaged in advancing pharmaceutical education and research through evidence-based instruction and active
scientific inquiry.
