Dr. Puja Sen has 5 years of teaching and Research experience, she is a UGC NTA NET and Ph.D holder in Mass Communication. Till recent past she was working as a Assistant Professor in the prestigious Indian Institute of Mass Communication, North Eastern Regional Campus Aizawl, in the department of New Media. Dr. Puja Sen, had earlier worked at North Eastern Hill University, NEHU Shillong and Royal Global University, Guwahati. She has also worked as an Research Assistant for an Indian Council of Social Sciences Research sponsored Major Research Project, as well as a Research Officer for an National Commission for Women sponsored project.
She completed Bachelor of Arts with English Literature, and Master Degree in Mass Communication from Assam University, A central university in Silchar in the year 2015. She cleared the UGC-NET in July 2019 and she completed PhD from Assam University in the year 2022.
Dr.Puja has published 7 research papers in UGC CARE List/Peer-reviewed journals also book chapters. Her research interest and articles mainly focus on Social Media and Marginalized community, Media Literacy, Fact Checking and Artificial Intelligence in Media.
She has also been invited as resource person for number of training programs for journalists and DIPR Officers from Aizawl and Sikkim.
