Dr. Majumdar received his Ph.D. in Mathematics from Gauhati University in 2025, with specialization in Applied Mathematics (Fluid Dynamics). His primary research interests lie in Fluid Dynamics, particularly magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) flows, non-Newtonian fluids, nanofluids, porous media, heat and mass transfer, and related transport phenomena. His research involves investigating the influence of various physical effects and parameters on fluid flow and thermal and mass transport processes.

Dr. Majumdar has published 18 research articles in peer-reviewed international journals, including journals indexed in Scopus and Web of Science, with publications from reputed publishers such as Springer, Wiley, Taylor & Francis, SAGE, and AIP. He has also contributed four book chapters in the areas of fluid dynamics, nanofluids, MHD flows, and applied mathematics. In recognition of his research contributions, he received the Excellence in Research Award for Publishing in High-Quality (Q1 & Q2) Journals from Gauhati University in 2026. He has also completed eight reviewer assignments for international peer-reviewed journals published by organizations including AIP Publishing, Springer Nature, and De Gruyter.

Dr. Majumdar has presented his research at six conferences, including international conferences on nonlinear analysis, mathematical fluid dynamics, and applied mathematics. He has also participated in workshops related to fluid mechanics and its applications.

Alongside his research activities, Dr. Majumdar has experience in teaching and mentoring. His teaching interests include Algebra, Calculus, Numerical Methods, Differential Equations, and Mechanics, and he has taught students at the M.Sc., B.Tech. B.Sc., and BCA levels. He is committed to creating an engaging and supportive learning environment that encourages students to develop conceptual understanding, analytical thinking, and an appreciation for mathematics.
