Dr. Chayanika Das (PT) has joined as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physiotherapy, School of Allied Health Sciences, at Girijananda Chowdhury University on August, 2024. She has completed her Bachelor of Physiotherapy Degree from University of Science and Technology Meghalaya (USTM) in the year 2021. She was awarded “GOLD MEDAL” for her academic performance in her BPT days. She has done her Internship from Swami Vivekananda National Institute of Rehabilitation ,Training and Research , Odisha (SV NIRTAR) and S.C.B. Medical College & Hospital, Cuttack, Odisha. She has also completed her Masters of Physiotherapy Degree with specialization Musculoskeletal Disorders & Sports from Assam down town University, AdtU in the year 2024. During her Post Graduation she did her thesis titled “ Effect of Maitland’s Caudal Glide Mobilization versus Hold Relax PNF Stretching to improve Shoulder Abduction Range in subjects with Adhesive Capsulitis : A Comparative Study”. She is a member of The Indian Association of Physiotherapists (IAP).
Dr. Chayanika Das (PT) has attended various seminars , workshops, conferences around and outside of Guwahati. She is a certified Cupping Therapist. She has attended the National Workshop on “Manual Therapy for Peripheral Joints and Temperomandibular Joint Dysfunction” in association with Indian Council of Medical Research , Department of Health Research , Manual Therapy Foundation of India. She has also attended “ASSAM PHYSIOCON” National Conference of Physiotherapy. She has attended various health camps. She has provided health care services to the society.
