Dr Bondita Baruah has joined the Department of English and Foreign Languages at GCU from July, 2024. She is a Ph.D in English from the North Eastern Hill University, Shillong. Her Ph.D research was on Saadat Hasan Manto. She obtained her M.Phil on Milan Kundera’s works from Gauhati University. Dr Baruah has teaching experience as an Assistant Professor in Dispur College (Guwahati) for almost seven years. Her academic writings have been published in journals and books. She also has work experience as a freelance writer and translator. Her journalistic writings have appeared in The New York Times, The Third Pole, Mongabay, Wire and others. Her research interests are Post-colonial literature, Migration, Identity, Indigeneity, Environmental Humanities.
