Dr. Sampurna Bhuyan, Associate Professor, Department of Economics, GCU, has been invited as a speaker in a two day workshop on the theme “Challenges of NEP 2020 for Teachers and Researchers in Higher Educational Institutions in the NE Region” on 17th and 18th of December 2024 which is jointly organised by Krishna Kanta Handiqui State Open University (KKHSOU) and the Omeo Kumar Das Institute of Social Change and Development (OKDISCD), Guwahati.
This workshop is being organized in association with the North Eastern Economic Association (NEEA) and is supported by ICSSR, NERC. Dr. Bhuyan has given an exhilarated talk on the ‘Roadmap of Foreign Institutional Collaboration with Indian Institutions of Higher Education: A Global Discourse in the Light of NEP 2020’.
She highlighted on brand building and how to improve the marketing as well as recruitment dynamics of Indian Higher Educational Institutions through various means for successful collaboration with Foreign Universities. She also emphasised the fact that the viewpoints of students who are the major stakeholders in the entire implementation process should be considered further to make the NEP2020 inclusive in real sense. The workshop was an engaging one with participation of eminent Professors from different Central and State Universities from the entire North-East Region.
