Girijananda Chowdhury University(GCU) has entered into a MoU with the Assam Agricultural University ( AAU), Jorhat, Assam on 28th July, 2023. The MoU was signed by Professor Dipankar Saha, Registrar, GCU and Dr. Mrinal Saikia, Director Research, AAU in an event that took place on the campus of AAU, Jorhat.
Through this MoU, both organizations shall engage in research collaboration in the area for advancing crop disease detection and diagnosis using AI based technologies.
AI can be a solution in providing the diagnostic and predictive analytics for the important crops diseases in rice and other crop plants.
The broad objective of the research collaboration is also to promote multidisciplinary research involving various disciplines of Engineering in solving problems of agriculture.
