From Campus to Congress: School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, GCU’s Active Participation in the 73rd Indian Pharmaceutical Congress 2024

A group of 66 students from B. Pharm 6th sem, B. Pharm 8th sem and M. Pharm 2nd sem and 4 Faculty members from the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Guwahati and Tezpur campus, Girijananda Chowdhury University, embarked on an educational trip cum excursion to the 73rd Indian Pharmaceutical Congress (IPC) at the Hitex Exhibition Centre in Hyderabad from 4th to 7th July 2024.

The event served as a significant platform for participants to engage in scientific discourse and exchange of ideas within the pharmaceutical industry. The students as well as the faculty members from Girijananda Chowdhury University actively participated in the scientific poster presentation sessions, contributing to the academic dialogue with their research findings, innovations, and ideas. They gained valuable knowledge and exposure to diverse facets of the pharmaceutical field through interactive sessions, keynote addresses, and networking opportunities offered during the congress. Their participation underscored their commitment to advancing pharmaceutical research and education in India. The 73rd Indian Pharmaceutical Congress 2024 not only provided a platform for showcasing academic achievements but also encouraged participants to explore new avenues for research and development in the pharmaceutical sector, thereby contributing to the growth and innovation of the industry. The event, attended by over 12500 delegates, featured 75 sessions covering various fields of pharmaceutical sciences and pharmacy practice, providing an invaluable learning experience for our students.
