GCU cadet shines at NCC Inter-Battalion Service and Sports Shooting Championship

The Inter-Battalion Service and Sports Shooting Championship at Jorhat NCC Academy concluded amidst an atmosphere of enthusiasm and spirited competition. A total of 292 cadets from across the region displayed exceptional skill, discipline, and camaraderie throughout the event. Their unrelenting passion and competitive spirit were a testament to the core values of the NCC. In a proud and inspiring ceremony, 24 outstanding cadets and two NCC Bns were awarded for their excellence by Brigadier Antony Grossy, the officiating Additional Director General (NER). The newly promoted to under-officer cadet Kumkum Dihingia of the department of Business Administration received a Silver Medal at the championship in the category of  3P under the banner of Sports Shooting (50m) championship after undergoing a series of NCC shooting selection camps for the last one and half months at different battalions of Assam. UO Kumkum is further selected to participate in the national level to be held in the month of August.
