About the Event:
The skilling programme was conducted for the students of Shrimanta Shankar Academy-Dispur and Golaghat Engineering College to impart hands on training on the Fabrication of PCB’s, Additive Manufacturing through 3D Printing and Reverse Engineering through 3D Scanning. Mr. Bhabajit Baruah, Tech Guru, has introduced the online Design CAD Software where the participants have modeled their designs to fabricate on 3d Printing. Mr. Baruah then elaborately discussed about 3D Printing, its types, applications, the software used for processing of the CAD Designs, the processing of the Designs in the 3D Printer and the process of Post Processing. After the Lecture, the participants were demonstrated the function of the two 3D Printers available in the Lab. The participants fabricated their design on 3D Printer. After that Mr. Baruah gave a detailed demonstration on 3D Scanner and discussed how it finds it application in Reverse Engineering, Inspection and Dimensional Analysis. The participants were allo ed to handle the 3D Scanner and try their hands for scanning some products and the faces of their fellow mates. The PCB Design and Fabrication was carried forward by Mr. Abhinandan Kalita, and Mr. Tridib Roy. The participants were introduced with PCB Design Software, etching through dry and wet processes, components of PCB, the fabrication of the PCB’s through traditional process and through PCB Prototype Machine. The participants were given small projects which they accomplished within the stipulated time. The five-day programme concluded with a closing ceremony where the participants were awarded with Certificates. The attendees provided excellent comments on the programme and demonstrated an eagerness to attend for advanced courses at AICTE-IDEA Lab.
