Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) – Students’ Chapter of Girijananda Chowdhury University has successfully organized a talk and Poster presentation competition on the topic “The role of Engineers in solving real world problems” on 3rd April 2024 at the University. Dr. Bhaba Ranjan Sarmah, National Executive Council Member of ISTE being the keynote speaker of the event enlightened the participants regarding the role of Engineers in today’s world. Prof. Tanmai Das, Chairman of ISTE – Assam and Eastern States Section has also attended the event and judged the competition along with Dr. Sarmah. Honourable Chancellor of the University addressed the participants with his valuable words. The talk has been attended by around 90 students of the University. 18 groups have registered in the competition while 7 groups have participated in the competition.
1st Prize (₹3000): Ipseeta Bharadwaj and Arpita Mitra (6th Sem Civil Engg.)
2nd Prize (₹2500): Trinayan Bora and Ankur Saikia (8th Sem Mechanical Engg.)
3rd Prize (₹2000): Ankur Ranjan Chanda and Runaal Bhowmick (2nd Sem Comp. Sc. Engg.)
