Interactive Session on Life Skills. The Department of Sociology and Social Work organized an interactive session titled “Building Resilient Personalities through Life Skills and and Life Stories with Mr. Plabon Phukan, Founder of The Open Window and a renowned Life Skills Coach, on 24th March 2025, in commemoration of International Social Work Month. The session was highly engaging and activity-based, with enthusiastic participation from students and faculty members. Through a series of interactive exercises, they explored essential life skills, including critical and creative thinking, effective communication, interpersonal relationships, empathy, and self-awareness.
A special appreciation activity allowed students to reflect on their strengths and acknowledge others, fostering a sense of gratitude and connection. Mr. Phukan also shared inspiring life stories that emphasized resilience, adaptability, and the importance of personal growth. The session left a lasting impact, equipping students with practical skills to navigate challenges in both personal and professional life.
