Health camp was held at the Sikarhati Village in Arundoy cultural club

The health camp was held on April 5, 2024, at the Sikarhati Village in Arundoy cultural club, an initiative from Girijananda Chowdhury University on the occasion of World Health Day.

The Health camp started with talk by our Chancellor Prof. Jayanta Deka who insisted on the theme of World Health Day “My Health, My Right” and its importance. The event aimed to provide accessible healthcare services and promote health awareness among residents of Sikarhati Village and surrounding areas.

The Health camp offered free medical consultations and screenings to individuals. Health camp services include Blood Pressure, blood glucose, Blood grouping, Hemoglobin measurements, and distribution of medicines. Over 160 individuals from diverse backgrounds attended the health camp, including families, seniors, School going students and individuals with chronic health conditions.

The Health camp was combined effort of School of Allied health Sciences, School of Pharmaceutical sciences, NSS GCU, GCU Wellness centre and School of Humanities and Social sciences.

The Health Camp was resounding success, fulfilling its objective of promoting health awareness and providing health care services to the local community. GCU is committed in continuing such initiatives to support health care needs of the Community in the future.
