On 20th March 2024, the Social Welfare Club of Girijananda Chowdhury University organized a workshop on “Deceased Organ Donation” in association with “Zublee Foundation”.
The workshop was aimed at creating awareness about the importance of deceased organ donation and to save and improve the quality of life for those in need. The workshop began with the felicitation of the esteemed guest, Miss Priyanka Borah, the CEO of Zublee Foundation who highlighted the significance of deceased organ donation in saving lives and improving the quality of life for individuals in need.
The workshop also featured a panel discussion with individuals who have or heard any of their near and far ones either donating organs or have been recipients of donated organs. The participants were also considered registering as deceased organ donors.
There were also interactive sessions where participants had the opportunity to ask questions and clarify their doubts about organ donation. Almost 100 participants comprising of students, faculty and staff of various departments of GCU attended the workshop.
