A workshop on “Cyber Security” was organized by Department of Computer Application

A workshop on “Cyber Security” was organized by Department of Computer Application, GCU on 24th May 2023 to address the growing challenges arising due to cyber threat and and to empower individuals with cyber security knowledge and promoting a culture of security to build a safer and more resilient digital ecosystem.

Mr Subhasmit Malakar and Ms Sanju Biswakarma of Trustnetix Solution Pvt Ltd ,Guwahati were the resource person of the workshop who shared their expertise and insights with the participants.

During the workshop, the resource person provided valuable insights into the evolving nature of cyber threats and the challenges they present.

They discussed various types of cyber attacks, including phishing, malware, ransomware, and social engineering, emphasizing the importance of staying updated on the latest threat landscape.

The resource persons highlighted the need for strong security practices, such as using strong passwords, enabling two-factor authentication, and regularly updating software and systems.

They stressed the significance of cyber security awareness and education, urging the participants to be vigilant and proactive in protecting their digital assets.

The workshop concluded with a vibrant question-and-answer session, where the participants had the opportunity to clarify their doubts and seek further guidance from the resource persons.
