A seminar on “Emerging Memory Technologies: Shaping the Next Era of Data Processing” was organized by Department of Computer Application, Girijananda Choudhury University, Assam
On 3rd December’2024 to address the growing challenges in computing due to the exponential rise in data volume and complexity.
Dr Arijit Nath, Assistant Professor, Dept of Computer Science and Engineering, Indian Institute of Information Technology, Guwahati was the resource person of the seminar who shared his expertise and insights with the participants.
During the seminar, Dr Nath shed light on the transformative potential of emerging memory technology such as In-Memory processing, non-Volatile memory etc and its pivotal role in revolutionizing data handling and computational efficiency.
The Seminar provided an excellent platform for students and faculty to explore cutting-edge advancements in memory technologies, sparking ideas that could shape the future of computing.
The seminar was co ordinated by Dr Arnab Kumar Das, Assistant Professor, Dept of Computer Application. Dr Mukta Ranjan Singha, Head Dept of Computer Application gave the welcome speech. The participants were also addressed by Dr Robert Ravi, Dean, School of Engineering and Technology who emphasized the importance of such seminars in broadening students’ horizons and equipping them with knowledge of emerging trends in technology.
