Biography

Mrs. Gulbahar Begum is currently serving as a Lecturer at the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Girijananda Chowdhury University, Assam. She is academically trained in pharmaceutical sciences with a specialization in Pharmacology and is actively involved in teaching, research, and academic activities related to experimental pharmacology, toxicology, and drug discovery.

Mrs. Begum completed her Master of Pharmacy (Pharmacology) from Netes Institute of Pharmaceutical Science, Mirza, under Assam Science and Technology University, Guwahati. She obtained her Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from (GIPS)Gauhati University. Her research interests primarily focus on the gastroprotective effect of plant extracts using phytochemical and computational approaches.

Mrs. Begum has successfully participated in several academic training programmes, workshops, and conferences, including a two-day hands-on training under the DoNER Skill Module 1 at NIPER-Guwahati and a three-day training at Nemcare Hospital on instrumentation handling. She has attended several national and international conferences, where she has presented her research through poster presentations.
