Biography

Tanmay Sarma is a dedicated academician with strong teaching and research experience in the field of Pharmaceutical Sciences. He brings with him 3.5 years of prior academic experience, having previously served at The Assam Royal Global University, Guwahati. Building on this foundation, he joined Girijananda Chowdhury University on 2nd February 2026 as an Assistant Professor, where he continues to contribute to teaching and scholarly activities.

He completed both his Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharm) and Master of Pharmacy (M. Pharm) from the Girijananda Chowdhury Institute of Pharmaceutical Science, acquiring a solid grounding in core pharmaceutical disciplines. Currently, he is pursuing his Ph.D. at Girijananda Chowdhury University, with a focused interest in gastrointestinal disorders and gut-related research. His teaching portfolio includes key subjects such as Pharmacology, Human Anatomy and Physiology, Pathophysiology, and Pharmaceutical Microbiology, reflecting his multidisciplinary approach to pharmaceutical education.

Alongside his teaching responsibilities, Tanmay actively engages in research with a focus on gastrointestinal and gut-related disorders. His primary research interests include ulcerative colitis, gastric ulceration, and gut health, with an emphasis on understanding disease mechanisms and exploring therapeutic strategies.

Through his combined commitment to teaching and research, Tanmay Sarma continues to contribute meaningfully to academic excellence and scientific advancement in the domain of Pharmaceutical Sciences.
