Shilpi Gupta joined the School of Agriculture and Allied Sciences (SAAS), as an Assistant Professor on November 3, 2025. Her area of interest is Soil Science which involves Soil Fertility, Soil Chemistry, Soil Physics, Soil Pedology, Soil Microbiology and Remote Sensing & GIS Techniques. She has explored her minor fields in the subjects of Agronomy as well as Crop Physiology and Agricultural Statistics. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D (Agriculture) (last semester) from Assam Agricultural University, Jorhat, Assam. She did her M.Sc (Agriculture) from CPGSAS, Central Agricultural University-Imphal, Umiam, Meghalaya. Apart from these, she has completed a number of trainings, workshops and seminars. She has also qualified a number of competitive exams including UGC-NET (Environmental Sciences) for admission to Ph.D only in the year June,2024.

She is accustomed to various analysis softwares and is highly interested in both academic and non-academic writings, etc. She also has a keen interest in painting, designing and dancing. She explores her interests in various literary events like debating, quizzing, extempore etc.While she is a goal-oriented and determined person and believes in contributing to the society at large; while at the same times she has a vision for the environment and is also serving as Assistant Coordinator under the GCU Campus Beautification Committee.
Her contribution in the academic as well nom-academic fields is committed to serve the university and community as a whole which will help their overall growth and development.
