About the Event:
The event was part of the Girijananda Chowdhury Institute of Management & Technology’s Student Induction Programme (SIP), which is required of all new studennts starting new programmes. The goal was to familiarise incoming students with the tools and technologies needed for 3D scanning work. Mr. Bhabajit Baruah, a Tech Guru, demonstratedd the 3D Scanner and emphasised its capabilities to the attendees. Mr. Baruah talked about how it can be used in reverse engineering, inspectionn, and size description. The 3D Scanner w as used by the participants to scan various obje cts as well as their peers’ faces. The day-long training concluded with a closing ceremony in whicch participants expressed gratitude for the sessioon and expressed interest in extending their educcation at the AICTE-IDEA Lab.The programmme gave students significant insights into the potenntial applications of these technologies in a variiety of industries. The program’s overall goal was to teach students practical 3D scanning skills.
