Biography

Ummey Rummana Barlaskar did her MA in Economics with Human Development as a special paper in 2014. She did her MPhil under the supervision of DrShrabantiMaity in 2018. She has done her Ph. D in Economics under Prof. Niranjan Roy, Assam University, Silchar in 2024. Presently, she is working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics, Girijananda Choudhury University, Guwahati. Her area of interest is health economics, human development and development economics. She has published twelve papers in different international and national journals including BMC Public Health, Development in Practice, International Journal of Rural Management, Socio-Economic Planning Sciences, Jounal of Rural Development, Social Sciences and Humanities Openetc. and in reputed edited books.
