A six-day offline Short Term Training Program (STTP) for North Eastern Regions (NER) was successfully completed by GIPS-Guwahati, Girijananda Chowdhury University on August 12, 2023.
The program’s primary topics and subthemes were, respectively, “Carrier Opportunities in Pharmacy” and “Opportunities and Challenges in Pharmaceutical Research and Innovation”. The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, India, provided funding and sponsorship for the program. The One week training program was held from August 07th to 12th, 2023.
The programme began with a welcome message from Prof. P. Malairajan (Principal, GIPS-G) and guest of honor Mr. Jasodaranjan Das, President, Shrimanta Shankar Academy Society and an introduction statement by the patron Prof. Kandarpa Das (Vice Chancellor, Girijananda Chowdhury University).

Malairajan (GIPS-G), Prof. K Jessi Kala Veni (GIPS-G), Dr. Asis Bala (Institute of Advanced Study in Science and Technology, Assam), Dr. Subham Banerjee (NIPER, Guwahati), Dr. Subhash Medhi (Gauhati University), Prof. Minakshi Gogoi (Girijananda Chowdhury University).
The programme coordinator Dr. Nikhil Biswas (Associate Professor, GIPS-Guwahati) and the other members present in the committee namely, Dr. Bhrigu Kr. Das, Technical In-charge (Assistant Professor, GIPS-Guwahati), Dr. Anupam Sarma, Registration In-charge (Assistant Professor, GIPS-Guwahati), Mr. Susankar Kushari, Hospitality & Transport In-charge (Assistant Professor, GIPS-Guwahati), Mr. Ranadeep Borgohain & Ms. Shatabdi Ghose, Moderators (Assistant Professor, GIPS-Guwahati) and Mr. Alakesh Bharali, Technical Assistant (Assistant Professor, GIPS-Guwahati) greeted the participants and underlined the relevance and guidelines of the session.
