Girijananda Chowdhury University (GCU), Assam is conducting a common admission test (GCUCAT 2023) for the academic session 2023-24 for admission into various undergraduate programs under GCU, Assam.
Important Dates for Girijananda Chowdhury Common Admission Test 2023(GCUCAT 2023):
Downloading of Admit Card: Will be announced later on the University website https://gcuniversity.ac.in
Duration of Examination: 120 minutes (02:00 Hrs)
Timing of Examination: 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 PM
Centre of Examination: As indicated in the Admit Card
While applying, candidates have to select three places of their choice. Efforts will be made to allot the place of examination to the candidates in order of choice opted by the candidate in the online Application Form. However, due to administrative/logistic reasons, places may be merged. The decision of the University regarding the allotment of the City/Centre shall be the final.
Declaration of Result: Will be announced on the University website https://gcuniversity.ac.in within 10 days of the Admission Test.

MODE OF EXAMINATION GCUCAT 2023 is planned to be conducted in Pen Paper mode in 14 different centres within Assam as well as outside Assam.
MEDIUM OF QUESTION PAPERS GCUCAT2023 will be conducted in English.
STRUCTURE OF QUESTION PAPERS:
Total marks of the Question Paper: 100
Question paper pattern: MCQ based, consists of two parts
Part A: 50 marks: Reasoning and Analytical Ability, General Awareness, General English (common to all)
Part B: 50 marks: Domain based (Syllabus is based on 10+2 level of CBSE/State Board)
There will be no negative marking for any wrong answer.
Mere appearance in the Entrance Test or securing pass marks at the test does not entitle a candidate to be considered for admission to the Programme unless he/she fulfils the Programme wise eligibility conditions of the University.
IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE CANDIDATES
1. Candidates are advised to report at the Examination Centre well in time i.e. 30 minutes before commencement of the examination.
2. The candidate must show the Admit Card printed from the university website for admission in the examination room/hall. A candidate who does not possess a valid Admit Card and authorized Photo ID shall not be permitted to take the examination.
